Why should I join a City Group?

May 10, 2017 by Dawnae Richards

Wondering why you should join a City Group? Hear from some of our members who have wondered the same thing.

““I was not super excited about the idea of joining a City Group…I do not do well in social situations. I would much rather get together with the worship team and just play music.  I was in the worship team before we really got involved with a City Group…Now that we are involved in a City Group, I am very happy that my husband saw the need and the benefit of getting together with a group of people to discuss, well, everything! We talk about the message from that week, we talk about our lives, we pray together, we talk about our past experiences in the Church (both good and bad) and through that, I have been able to think through some things, realize some things that I am good at and things that I need to work on.  I love being able to pray for people, while not often out loud, I do have times in my daily life when I can just talk to the Father and lay all of the requests at His feet…
I also love that my City Group loves my daughter.  I know that as she grows, she will have a support system outside of our family and if she ever needs anything, any of them will come running.  We have other kids in the group that I have grown to love as well.  As for me, if they ever need help or guidance or someone to pick them up when they fall, I will come running!  This family atmosphere is the best part of City Groups! We are all in this together! If you ever need anything, if you have something to rejoice about, if you just need someone to hear and respect you, we are ready with open arms. We are all God’s kids, created, adopted, and greatly loved by Him”
