It is a great privilege to worship our God and Savior Jesus Christ, whether through praising him or singing of his greatness or living for him through the ordinariness of life. It is also a great privilege to worship him through giving to support this church. We give out of love for God, not out of a desire for further blessing, as if giving to God—out his own resources, mind you—obligates him to give “back” to us. It’s all his and by designating a portion of what he has given to us to support this church we are declaring with those resources that God is great and greatly to be praised. Last week’s offering was $2,450.22, bringing our Fiscal Year-to-Date total to $105,769.76, with a budgeted need of $104,984.00.
