Discipleship Happens in Relationship.
We believe that being encouraged and challenged to be a more faithful follower of Jesus happens best in the context of relationship. New City believes that the best way we can help someone grow into their maturity in Christ, is through relationship. We best learn and grow when we are walking alongside of other believers in friendship. Friends that are challenging us, encouraging us, growing with us. This is where we see the best discipleship happening.
New City’s goal is to create a church that pursues God together through deep and lasting friendship and community. New City desires to offer different contexts where we can grow and learn together. There is nothing at New City that happens if it does not in some meaningful way contribute to making disciples. If it does not help make disciples, we don’t do it.
New City offers a Bible Study on alternating Sundays at 9:30AM. While that is the general schedule, be sure to check the church calendar to confirm each meeting.
This Fall we will begin our study in I & II Samuel. Bring your Bible, questions, and a thirst for scripture!
Please join us for corporate prayer on the first and third Mondays at 7:00PM in the Conference Room. We spend time interceding for each other, our community, and our leaders. If you are unable to join us, you can email any requests to email@example.com.
Gals, are you looking for a place to connect? to belong? to be a part of something bigger than you? This is why NCC Sisterhood was created. We take Titus 2:3-5 seriously. Whether you are the older woman in spiritual maturity or physical age, we need you! Maybe you are the younger woman who did not have that example of godliness while growing up in a difficult environment, we want you! We all find ourselves in different seasons needing to be mentored and encouraged. We want to provide you the opportunity to connect with your fellow “sisters” no matter what the season you are in. We meet monthly. Check the calendar for our next date and join us.
City Groups are diverse small groups that meet throughout the week to live in relationship and community. This is a key part of our discipleship process. City Groups engage us in life-on-life discipleship and are the means New City uses to disciple and grow people. If you are not a part of one, contact the New City Elders and they can connect you with a City Group!
