Food drive & fall party

On October 2 at Mary Waters Park (Lafayette Ave, just south of Leonard Street) New City Church will be hosting a food drive for the residents of the near-northeast of Grand Rapids.  After the food drive we are offering a free “Fall Party.”  We’ll have food and soft drinks and plenty of inflatables for the kids to play in.  If you’d like to participate come and join us!

The food drive is from 12:30 to 1:30 and the picnic is from 1:30 to 3:00.  We’d love to see you there!

God Loves Grand Rapids!

On Saturday, September 25, New City Church and Calvary Church will be serving the near-northeast of Grand Rapids through Calvary Church’s annual “God Loves Grand Rapids” event.  This year we will be working at Mary Waters Park and Briggs Park to clean them up, paint and repair equipment, and install a couple new pieces of equipment (at Briggs).  We will be working from 9:00AM to 12:00PM.  If you would like to help, please click on the “Contact us” link.

We are excited to serve the children in our community in this way.  Our goal is to love God and to love people.  By working in cooperation with the Grand Rapids Parks Department we have a very tangible way to love the people of Grand Rapids, just as God loves Grand Rapids.
